The Animal

Sound in the main entrance porch

Produces audio through speakers mounted in the porch above the main school entrance. Approximately once an hour "the beast" comments on current events and historical anniversaries, through sounds. For instance, on national holidays days he might play the national anthem for that country on random instruments (violin, helicopter, drums, tweeting-bird, etc.) and a sound effects to illustrate historical events.

Several times a day the current weather conditions will be used to choose natural sounds that might put the day in a new perspective. The large LED screen (Toastmaster) communicates with the Animal, and will say, for example, that today is a national holiday in Mexico because it's "Benito Juárez's Birthday".
